What we do

Paul Clasper spent several years working for offshore survey contractors mostly in the North Sea and Middle East during the 1970’s and then joined a high profile firm of engineering consultants, who specialised in the design of subsea pipelines. Working as a Project Surveyor for engineering teams on pipeline projects worldwide, it soon became clear that there was a significant gap between the expectations of engineers and the understanding of the requirements by surveyor contractors.

The engineers had very high demands regarding the quantity and quality of survey data that was needed for pipeline design; in contrast, survey contractors would often propose in-house vessels and equipment whether or not it was likely to meet the project requirements. So Paul created his own consultancy, which tended to fill the gap between surveyors and engineers.  The company has since been at the forefront of major pipeline installations worldwide, including the “deepest,” the “longest” the “largest” and the “most remote” in their time.

The company now provides a range of project support services for the offshore energy industry from initial feasibility studies to site investigation and construction supervision.
