PRODUCT INFORMATION

Specialist unique program, developed by PCAL, used to rapidly
process and analyse large volumes of swathe bathymetric data.

OVERVIEW:

Hydrographic surveying and pipeline engineering require precise and detailed depth measurements. In order to be confident about the accuracy and repeatability of high volumes of gathered data, rigorous quality control is required as an independent and objective assessment of the consistency of acquired swathe bathymetric data.

APPLICATIONS:

q The BDHA software provides data handling; facilities, allowing XYZ data files to be merged and clipped and raw and gridded data to be inspected with local standard deviations.
q BDHA sorts and archives data in its own internal binary format, produces fast selective or total data plots, and quickly computes and displays profiles along multiple-section curved paths.
q Where data files overlap, BDHA provides extended data analysis facilities, allowing inspection of depth differences between files, locally and with a global mean and standard deviation.
q BDHA can search for misalignments between files, using comparative profiles or by finding features which appear in both files but with different positions.
q BDHA can also compute the mean seabed gradient of each data set in the X and Y axes and report possible rotational alignment problems.
q For use on desktop PCs or on-site laptop equipment.
q Import, clip and merge multiple raw swathe bathymetric data files.
q View raw data with user-defined depth banding.
q Grid the entire data set and inspect gridded depths, local standard deviations and grid sample sizes for QC analysis.
q Identify bad data sets, survey lines and processing errors.
q Zoom in on areas of interest, pan across data plots and view profiles along user-defined complex curved paths.
q Save plots, profile route descriptions and data of interest for later recall in BDHA, AutoCAD or your DTM.
q Inspect depth differences for QC of overlapping data files.
q Locate, process and verify linear and rotational shifts between data sets.
q Archive data in ASCII XYZ, binary or DXF formats.
